CollectKit turns an intake form into a conversation: creators describe what data they need in plain language and get a dual-mode collection page where respondents can either fill out a clean traditional form or chat naturally with an AI that collects the same structured data.
The problem with existing form builders
There are more than a dozen AI form builders, and they all do the same thing: describe or drag-and-drop a form, get a link, collect rows in a table. AI is bolted on as a generation feature, but the respondent's side of the experience hasn't changed in a decade.
The hybrid bet
Pure conversational collection is often slower than a traditional form for simple structured data, and pure forms have high abandonment. CollectKit puts both on every published link, with the AI mode as the default:
- Form mode: a traditional, validated form
- Conversation mode: an AI that follows the same schema, asks natural follow-ups, and never re-asks for information already given

Every submission thinks for itself
Instead of a raw row in a spreadsheet, every response gets:
- A one-paragraph AI summary written for the person reading it, not a restatement of the data
- Sentiment signals on open-ended fields
- A flag for whether the submission looks complete or has gaps worth a follow-up
